Invicta Watches...

The history of Invicta watches begins in 1837 with the first affordable timepiece crafted by Swiss watchmaker, Raphael Picard. His thinking was that Swiss quality, durability and beauty ought to be available to everyone at an affordable price. His new brand was named for the Latin word “invincible” – Invicta.

The Invicta Watch Group is arguably the fastest growing watch manufacturer in the business. This being true, it is hard to believe that during the 1970s they almost stopped due to the craze in Quarts watches. However, building on their strong foundation of watch manufacturing, the brand was able to make a stronger comeback than some other inferior brands. After the sluggish sales period of the 1970s, the Invicta Watch Group continued to appeal to watch lovers who recognized value to be more than just price. Collectors began to see the ingenuity behind the Pro Diver and the beauty and elegance of the Angel and Elite lines. Some would even argue that these Invicta watches are better than many of the more expensively priced Swiss made brands.

Breitling Watches...

The story of Breitling watches begins when Léon Breitling first opened a workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1884, making pocket watches and chronograph watch designs. His son, Gaston, initiated the production of Breitling watches in 1914 for the military in the First World War. Breitling timepieces have been associated with flying since 1936, when Willy Breitling (Leon's grandson) launched a chronometer for instrument panels in aircraft cockpits. In 1952 the Navimeter, a super chronograph watch designed especially for pilots was produc
ed, as was well received by both pilots and watch aficionados. In 1970 Breitling introduced the Breitling GMT, a the first chronograph with two hour hands (one for 12 hour system, one for 24 hours system). In the late 1980's, the Breitling wristwatch, with its large case and distinctive bezel, was a recognizable status symbol all over the world and widely copied by other companies, making the "Breitling look" even more fashionable.

Fashionable, rugged and highly precise: these are just a few of the accolades one might use in describing a Breitling wristwatch. One hundred and sixteen years after its founding, Breitling is one of the best-known luxury watch brands in the world. If you are looking for a sporty, rugged, reliable timepiece, Breitling is clearly one company that fits the bill.
